Note to self - start using blog!

Well I created the blog with the hope I would begin using it but must have forgotten to remind myself to do just that!

So, from now on I must try to blog as much as I can remember.

Home - homelife is far better now. With the bathroom finished the disruption has ceased and we have moved  back in from the in-laws. I quite enjoyed staying at the in-laws as the house was always busy and the I miss not seeing the dogs every day! With the flat being renovated Suzie is also a lot more chilled and relaxed and returning back to her normal self. We had better start work on the next project soon to ensure she stays that way!

Studying - has resumed again in earnest after a short break. The break was due to renovation work at home which was very disruptive. The brain really is like any other muscle in the body in that it can become stronger with exercise however, take a break and just like any other muscle it can take time to get back to "full fitness" again. My daily regimen is helping restore the cerebral pathways and I am back enjoying the process of learning again.

As a side note I have decided that from May I am going to recruit a Spanish tutor to work alongside my self studies. I feel this will greatly help with the spoken and listening skills that I feel are weakest at the moment. My understanding of the language (and that of my own native tongue) is still improving and I am now using the online service LiveMocha as well as Memrise to aid my studies. With LiveMocha I am cementing what I already know with Spanish but I am also helping those who are learning English by providing feedback to their work in return. I find this greatly helps with my understanding of languages in general and can only be a positive thing.

I have my 3rd assignment due on the 9th May so I have 9 weeks to complete unidades seis y siete. If I ensure I do a little each day then I should have plenty of time to ensure the TMA is completed in time and is of a high standard.

Training - I did not do a lot of physical exercise during the renovation work so did not attend MCMA, boxing or play any golf. With the renovation complete I have now resumed MCMA on Tuesday and Thursdays and with the nice weather hopefully coming the golf season will begin.
